About Siri's Interiors

Siri began her career in the design and fashion business in New York in the 1970’s  at Conde Nast publications working for HOUSE & GARDEN and was an Editor at VOGUE magazine for six years where she developed a creative eye and editing talent. She then switched to retail and was a Design Vice President for R.H. Macy & Co.  responsible for design direction and color forecasting for accessories. She started her own mail order catalog , THE SIRI VAIL COLLECTION, Accessories With Style for which she received a Retail Advertising Council ( RAC) national award for creative excellence. She designed many exclusive products featured in The New York Times and in magazines.

Siri’s Interiors was launched while renovating and decorating three of her family’s homes – an eighteenth century barn in the Hamptons ( architects  Byer, Blindle, Bell ; renovations by David Scott Parker Architects) , a tropical house on the sea on the island of Jamaica ( architects – Ballard, Todd & Sneeby) , and a 1930’s Connecticut farmhouse ( architect – J.P. Franzen & Assoc’s) . Recent projects include a house on Casey Key, Florida, and the restoration and redecoration of an original eighteenth century English “Great House” which is the clubhouse of The Tryall Club on the north coast of Jamaica. This was a collaborative project with Dr. Michael Connors, historian and author of  Caribbean Elegance,     French Island Elegance and    Cuban Elegance .  The Great House project will be featured in Michael’s upcoming book  to be published in June, 2009 - Caribbean Houses .
